The world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, 10 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk from the hotel, showcases the Cape’s unique Floral Kingdom. A staggering aerial tree-canopy walkway is just one of its many attractions, which also includes open-air concerts on the lawns in summer.

Sport-lovers are within strolling distance of the famous Newlands Cricket stadium which host a variety of seasonal local, international and test fixtures. Suburban Cape town boasts entertainment galore. Catch an outdoor movie with the Galileo Open Air Cinema events or visit the Cavendish Square cinema complex for the latest movies. Kirstenbosch offers Summer concerts in the park featuring top local/global music acts from November to end-March. For a more reserved experience visit the Baxter Centre which hosts top drama, dance, music and comedy. Maynardville Open-air Theatre presents annual Shakespeare and ballet seasons during January and February.
Wine & Brewing Heritage
A short distance from the hotel is the Constantia Winelands, which afford time-limited guests with the opportunity to discover classic vintages and Cape Dutch homesteads. The Josephine Mill offers visitors, interested in the art of brewing beer, tasting and history tours.
Local Arts & Craft
There are a variety of local fine art and craft facilities in the southern suburbs. One of the loveliest is the Montebello Design Centre, located within walking distance of the hotel. Synonymous with some of the roots of Cape art and design, it houses fine art, ceramic, jewellery, craft and other working studios as well as a restaurant and nursery.
