A keen golfer or company looking to make a difference? On 5 November 2015 we will host our annual fundraising Golf Day with our sister hotels, Townhouse and Oude Werf. Taking place at the King David Golf Club in Cape Town, all proceeds will go towards our ‘Our Kids of the Cape’ social responsibility fund.
‘Our Kids of the Cape’ was established in March 2007 by the three hotels, and at the 2014 Golf Day, a total of R187 000 was raised for this social investment initiative. Proceeds go directly to assisting local community projects supported by the ‘Our Kids of the Cape’ fund, spanning education, health, HIV/Aids and feeding schemes.
Following on the successes of previous years, this fundraising golf day begins with a shotgun start at 12h30 and a 4-Ball alliance (2 scores to count). In addition to a great day of ‘golf for a cause’, participants will receive fabulous prizes, goodie bags, a halfway house and dinner, with a fun-filled auction ending the evening.
Says ‘Our Kids of the Cape’ Chairperson, Alison Kranenburg, “This is one of the highlights of our annual calendar – not only a fun day out for both our team and avid golfers – but also a much-needed fundraising opportunity for the various projects we support throughout the year. This is not merely a once-off donation, ‘Our Kids of the Cape’ supports no less than nine projects with a fixed amount every month, in order to best promote growth and sustainability in this sector.”
