Cape Town’s best winter wine-paired dinners

Every three weeks, we partner with one of South Africa’s most distinctive wine estates to bring you our Tastes of 2019 dining experiences. These allow our chefs free rein to express their creativity and design exciting dishes that showcase their talents and complement the wines served. Similarly, the wines showcased are exciting expressions of the talent and originality of the winemaker who crafted them.

In advance of each dinner, the designated estate’s range of wine is tasted alongside various delicacies and ingredients, and the most exciting combinations are discovered, discussed and incorporated into the Tastes menu for that dinner. The dishes served stand proud on their own, and when tasted with the wine an alchemy occurs that brings out intriguing subtle nuances in the wine not perceived before.
